Lead generation for clinics and dental practices
Medical decisions made in a second language are uncomfortable, and people will travel further and pay more to avoid that discomfort. For a practice that works in English, that is the whole proposition.
Why language widens your catchment
For most services, dealing in your own language is preferable. In healthcare it is closer to essential. Explaining symptoms precisely, understanding a treatment plan, giving genuinely informed consent, asking the awkward follow-up question. All of it gets substantially harder in a second language.
That is why English-speaking practices abroad consistently draw patients from well outside their natural catchment. People will drive past three closer clinics to reach one where they can actually have the conversation.
Most practices know this and almost none of them advertise on it properly. It gets mentioned on a website rather than built into the targeting.
Patients travel further for language than for distance
Implants and cosmetic work, not routine check-ups
Expat communities recommend fast and loudly
Working inside the platform rules
Healthcare advertising is restricted on every platform, and the rules are enforced with a mixture of automation and inconsistency that catches out advertisers who did not plan for it.
Before and after imagery faces limits. Personal attributes cannot be implied in the way other sectors take for granted, which rules out a large share of the creative approaches that work elsewhere. Claims about outcomes need care. Some treatment categories are restricted outright.
None of that prevents these campaigns working. What it does mean is that the creative gets built inside the constraints from the start, with fallback versions ready, rather than a rejection arriving three days after launch and nobody knowing why.
What performs
Higher-value, considered treatments where the patient is choosing rather than reacting.
Implants and restorative
High value, considered over weeks, and language matters enormously in the consultation.
Veneers and whitening
Visual proof does most of the selling, subject to the platform rules on how results can be shown.
General practice in English
Lower value per patient, but recurring, and it feeds every other service you offer.
Consultants and diagnostics
Where a patient wants a second opinion they can actually understand in full.
Clinic treatments
Works well, faces the tightest restrictions of anything in this list.
Rehabilitation and therapy
Course-based rather than single visit, so patient value is worth judging over the course rather than the first appointment.
How we run clinic campaigns
- Creative built inside the restrictionsHealth advertising rules planned for upfront, with alternative versions ready before anything goes live.
- Targeted on language and nationalityNot a radius around the practice. Your catchment for English-speaking patients is considerably wider than your catchment generally.
- Qualifying before contact detailsTreatment interest and timing asked first, so the diary does not fill with consultations that were never going to proceed.
- Checked on arrivalNumbers and emails checked as the lead comes in, repeat enquiries flagged and never charged twice, delivered in seconds while the patient is still deciding.
- Measured on treatments, not enquiriesYou mark which enquiries became treatment and the campaign optimises toward that, rather than toward whichever ad produces the most forms.
Questions practices ask
Can we use before and after photos?
Sometimes, with care. The platforms restrict health and aesthetic imagery and enforce it inconsistently, so rejections happen. Creative gets planned so the campaign still works if the strongest version is refused.
How far will patients actually travel?
Further than for a clinic in their own language. We see patients regularly crossing a region to reach an English-speaking practice, which is why radius targeting understates your real catchment.
Is this suitable for a single-site practice?
Yes, and often better suited than to a chain. A single practice with a defined catchment and a clear language advantage is a straightforward campaign to build.
Do you handle patient data properly?
Enquiry data is handled under GDPR with consent captured at the point of submission and recorded. What you do with it clinically afterwards is your responsibility, under your own obligations.
What does a patient enquiry cost?
Depends heavily on treatment. An implant enquiry and a general check-up enquiry are different propositions with different economics. It gets worked out against what a treatment is worth to you.
